Who said we can’t set 80 metre targets on sporting!!
G.D. did the same trick here at the Canterbury CTC, with a springing teal and finished off well over 100 yards sitting on a chair against the clubhouse because he couldn”t see the target, being blocked by the veranda.
Some smart arse DTL shooter called out “So do that again then”, AND HE DID!!
Just to refresh your memory, but didnt we shoot an 80m target at Wanganui earlier this year – Pad 1 Field 4 if memory serves me correct?? Albie Hanson lasered it at 82m I believe.
Springing teal at 130 yards, I reckon me & my mighty Blaser could do with Falcon Club Lite’s from the hip – Wa Hahaha
Yes so we did, so I probably should have said 95 metres.
It would be worth setting up and having a go I recckon. Don’t give Rob any ideas for long bird teal, following pair, in his next big shoot. I remember G.D. telling me that you didn’t have to go to far above it on the way up, because of whatever (can’t quite remember the detail) But he didn’t tell me how much under it he was when shooting it dropping as in the video!!
We are having practice every day, which Ian Swale and David Reid are looking after, maybe we should try and persuade them to set it up. I am hoping that the Big fella himself may be persuaded to come down, he’s being worked on now!!Then we could all really see how it’s done.
Would be great to see GD again, we could show him some good kiwi fitasc targets, not bad ESP targets & I could show him how to shoot 150m teal – whoops, I’m day dreaming again!!
80 yards with a standard shell, thats a 73 meter shot. Golden!!!

Certainly would be fun trying, maybe a pool shoot at the Nats or GP Ron???
FUNNY, I KNEW YOU WOULD SAY THAT!!!
