This year as well as the South Island Sporting Clay Shooters Club being established, the Te Anau CTC has reivented itself into a Sporting Clay Shooting Club.
There were members of that club competing at the recent South Zone shoot, and they were most interested in our club (S.I.S.C.S.C.) and how it operates with no set ground. They are in the same position. Sporting is very popular in the deep South and their shoots have been very well patronised to date.
If you are holidaying in the Southern Lakes region over Xmas, New Year sneak your shotgun into your luggage as they are holding a Sporting Shoot on Monday January 2nd. 2012. It is the Colin Sinclair Silver 100 to be held at 330 Lagoon Rd., registration from 0900, Food, Beverage and ammo is available, plus they are running a 3 person Team match (must be from same club) If you are interested contacts are: Eric King 021504825 or 03 249 4106 or Jodie Kendall 0273040274.
We will endevour to get their year programme, or post their shoots on our calendar as they come to hand.
It is good to see yet another Sporting Club start up, and just shows that Sporting is alive and increasing in the South Island.
