Rotorua Clay Target club saw a good turnout for The Presidents Cup. The club members did a stirling job setting up the field, working all day Saturday in persistent rain and wind. They set a fairly soft field for us to shoot on Sunday, with a 98 being the top score, however under the atrocious weather condition it proved to be a good idea, as most people were very happy at the end of the day.

  1. ronmadden says:

I thought the South Island was the only place soft targets were shot, well according to you Norther’s anyway!!!

    • Rob Carruthers says:

They were a bit soft, but to their credit, they did throw very well presented targets, with good variety and made excellent use of the terrain they have at Rotorua.

  2. duckiller says:

We thought it would lull you into thinking the nationals
    will be similar,—–yea right!

  3. Ron Madden says:

Don’t forget I was there at the Oceania, surpurb targets absolutely surpurp and I hope they take every ones comments on that shoot and take it forward from there. Nothing edge on, no skeet targets, and a few way up and a few way down under your feet. looking forward already.
